Community Soccer Outreach 2019

Volunteers are an essential part  of the Community Soccer Outreach Organization. The Club relies on enthusiastic parent and youth volunteers to manage teams, lead teams, co-coach, assist at the fields, and convene the house league divisions. Volunteers are also a welcome and valued asset in other areas, including our Event days such as Opening Day/ Photo Day and the Closing activities. We'll give you all the training and support you need!

With so many kids wanting to play soccer, having adequate adult supervision and great mentoring are the fundamentals of our program.

Parent Helpers and Team Leaders/Co-Coaches provide supervision, guidance and encouragement for divisions U4 through U12. With just a small commitment, starting at just 30-60 minutes per week, depending on the age group, you can help a group of young players enjoy the game. Practices are directed by our coaches and  staff, so parent volunteers are able to simply help out by encouraging players through the drills and activities set our by our practice coaches each week. Other roles are also available to help keep teams on track, motivated and receiving important information.

Help us ensure that every team has a dedicated group of cheerleading parents to encourage them throughout the season. Receipt of Volunteer application forms is appreciated by April 1st.

Co-Coaches and Team Managers are also required for for players ages 13 - 16 yrs. Volunteers are required as Team Officials - to organize and assist with all practices and coach for house league games. Volunteer commitment is 2.5 hours per week (1 practice, 1 game, team communications).

Volunteer Application & Screening Requirements:

All volunteer roles are required to complete a Volunteer Application & Disclosure Form, every year, as part of our mandatory screening process. Children are a vulnerable sector and Club policy dictates appropriate screening of individuals to ensure the physical, emotional and mental health safety of our young players.  If you are new to the Club, volunteering for a team leadership role, you are also required to submit the New Coach Questionnaire.

All these forms can be found on our Volunteer Forms page.

Have some time to donate or an idea to share? Give us a call.  We always appreciate volunteer ideas and extra help setting up fields in the spring,  and with odd jobs throughout the summer season.  info@cso48.org or 63780-3075 to let us know you're interested in volunteering.

Solidarity is not an act of charity, but a mutual help between forces that fight for the same goal.-S.M.
